The next big ECB Group Expedition is heading to the Alps.

The Tour du Mont Blanc — one of Europe’s most iconic long-distance mountain routes — is planned as a 9-day trekking expedition through France, Italy, and Switzerland, circling the Mont Blanc massif on foot. Exact route details, refugios, transport logistics, and daily stages are still being finalised, but the aim is to create a proper mountain journey with a strong team atmosphere, big scenery, and a real sense of progression across the week.

This will not be a luxury holiday or a rushed ultra-light challenge. The plan is for a balanced expedition-style experience with full days on the trail, mountain refugio stays, alpine villages, high passes, glaciers, wild valleys, and long scenic traverses. Some days are expected to be physically demanding, with sustained elevation gain, rough mountain terrain, and changing weather conditions. Participants should be comfortable hiking for multiple consecutive days carrying their own gear.

The TMB is famous for its constantly changing landscapes — from steep alpine cols and rocky balcony trails to forests, lakes, meadows, and dramatic glacier views. Over the course of the expedition the group is expected to pass through traditional mountain towns and refuges across all three countries, with opportunities for local food, mountain culture, and some well-earned recovery evenings along the way.

As with previous ECB expeditions, the focus will be on the shared experience as much as the route itself. Expect early starts, long trail days, mountain weather, tired legs, good laughs, and one of the most rewarding trekking circuits in the world.
